Dan Rupple

Director of Creative Development
CEO Seriously Funny Entertainment

Dan Rupple was inspired at an early age by comedy writer and dedicated family man, Rob Petrie. It was while watching those episodes of the "Dick Van Dyke Show," that Dan realized his two lifelong pursuits: to work in television and to have a great family life. Through dedicated passion and hard work, Dan has been fortunate enough to achieve both of his goals.

For over 35 years, Dan has worked in the entertainment industry in many different capacities. He began performing at the age of 15 with a improvisation team in the comedy clubs of Hollywood. After graduating high school, Dan produced, wrote, and performed with the pioneering sketch comedy group, Isaac Air Freight. Over the next fifteen years, they successfully produced eight top-selling albums, numerous radio and television programs, and over 1200 concert appearances throughout the United States and Canada. Their popularity spread worldwide, marked by a tremendous demand for Isaac Air Freight's recordings in England, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and South Africa.

In 1990, after Producing and Co-hosting a morning comedy radio program, Dan went to work for CBS Television as a Production Supervisor. For the next decade, he supervised many CBS productions, such as:
  • The Price is Right
  • The Late Show with David Letterman (All west coast activity)
  • The Grammy Awards
  • The 1996 Republican National Convention
  • The Primetime Emmy Awards
  • The AT&T Pebble Beach Golf Tournament
In 2002, Dan founded Seriously Funny Entertainment, a company dedicated to all forms of uplifting media. Recently, Dan has been able to launch a new digital media division of Seriously Funny, Padded Room Productions, with his eldest son, Nathan. Through Padded Room, Dan has been able to not only work with his son, but has combined his invaluable expertise in television production with his love for writing comedy. Producing and writing web entertainment puts Dan on the frontlines of the third-screen media revolution at a very exciting time. So exciting that in early 2006, Television Week Magazine chose Dan to write a commentary on the shape of comedy in this new media.

Dan resides in So. California and has been happily married to the love of his life, Peggy, for almost thirty years. Together, they have raised three beautiful children and gained two daughter-in-laws. Along with his work with Seriously Funny Entertainment, Dan teaches comedy writing as an adjunct at Biola University, where he graduated with honors. He also serves on the Biola Student Task Force, helping improve the film program for the filmmakers of tomorrow.

Peggy Rupple

Director of Community / Events

During the early years of Dan and Peggy Rupple’s marriage, Peggy’s full time devotion was that of the crucial task of being a stay at home mom to their three children. On a part time basis however, Peggy stayed intimately involved in all of her husband’s entertainment production; serving as a make-up artist, set decorator, administrative assistant, story editor, radio co-host and even voice over artist.

In the late ‘80’s Peggy began a very successful career as an account executive for Givenchy Parfums – in which she was named Givenchy Parfums National Account Executive of the Year in 1998.

In 2004, Peggy assumed the demanding role of Director of Special Projects for the Biola University Mass Communications Department. In addition to her stellar work overseeing and coordinating the Film/Television/Radio Student Internship Program, the Annual Windrider Forum at the Sundance Film Festival, the quarterly Studio Task Force Dinners at CBS Studio Center; as well as producing all other events sponsored by the Biola Mass Communication Department; Peggy is the producer of the renown Biola Media Conference – the nation’s largest and most influential gathering of Christians working in the mainstream media.

Nathan Rupple

Nathan Rupple

Director of Production

Nathan Rupple was bit by the entertainment bug at a very early age, and has never looked back. As a child, Nathan grew up sitting offstage, watching his father's national touring comedy group, Isaac Air Freight perform. Later, he spent most of his days off from Jr. High School sitting in the director’s booth of The Price is Right at CBS Studios, when his father became their Production Supervisor.

When he graduated high school, Nathan found himself back at CBS Studios as a head usher for The Price Is Right. Shortly after, Nathan went to work in production at CBS Television City for three years, working on many shows, including:
  • The Price Is Right
  • The 1999 and 2000 Rose Parades
  • The Martin Short Show
  • The Late Show with Craig Kilborn
  • Hollywood Squares
  • Politically Correct with Bill Maher
Soon, Nathan fell in love with television production and decided to pursue it even further by attending Biola University, majoring in Film and Television.

Nathan continued to flourish in college, producing and directing a feature film, trade show videos for an automotive part manufacturer, promotional videos for Best Western, and several short films. To make ends meet, he formed an improvisation troupe, which later transitioned into a group called Air Freight--a fresh spin off of his father's former group. They toured throughout the United States and Canada. Through this, Nathan was able to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for comedy structure, writing, and performing.

After earning his degree in Directing for Television, Nathan began to do freelance work for various production companies. He served in many different capacities of production such as: production coordination, talent coordination, casting, and creative development for shows such as The Swan 2, El Principe Azul, and Car Crazy. Currently Nathan brings his talent and growing experience to Seriously Funny Entertainment as Production Coordinator.

Through the television show, Car Crazy, Nathan was able to transition from television into developing, writing, directing, and producing digital media. In partnership with his father, they created over 35 videos for Car Crazy's website. He and his father quickly discovered that with their combined backgrounds, they could create a company that would become the ultimate creative, visual, storytelling machine—Padded Room, where he serves as COO.

Nathan resides in Orange County, California with his beautiful wife, Danielle, to whom he's been married for three years.
